Aira is originally from Seattle, WA.  She received her undergraduate degree in History from Brandeis University.  Her first job out of college was with the Anti-Defamation League, and it was this job that inspired her to continue working with students and in the arena of social justice.  This is her third year at the Joseph Lee Elementary School, where she teaches 1st grade.
