Andrew Rodriguez

Andrew is a Cohort 7 graduate who completed his residency at Fenway High School. He currently teaches math at The English High School in Jamaica Plain. Before joining BTR, Andrew studied math at Columbia University, where he received his B.A. in 2009.  Andrew’s interest in teaching dates back to elementary school, when he would try to get his toys to appreciate the mysteries of mathematics, such as how to manipulate fractions and multiply 3 digit numbers. He sustained this passion throughout high school and college by seeking out opportunities to teach, tutor, and mentor students. Now, as a teacher, Andrew hopes to show his students how beautiful and interesting math can be—and that they, too, are capable of being wonderful mathematicians.
