Sinta Cebrian

Sinta was born and raised in Seattle, WA. A recent graduate of Wellesley College, Sinta studied Political Science and Education Studies and directed her coursework toward urban education reform and policy. Greatly influenced by her internship experience at Wediko Summer, a Boston-based residential program in Windsor, NH for students with serious emotional, behavioral, and social challenges, she decided to pursue a profession in teaching. Sinta was selected as a national finalist for the 2011 Woodrow Wilson-Rockefeller Brothers Fund Fellowship for Aspiring Teachers of Color. A Cohort 9 resident in Middle School English, Sinta will be completing her residency at Young Achievers in Mattapan.
Inspiration to teach:
Hope is always in the next generation. It is my turn to give back to my family, friends, communities, and educational institutions that have helped me in discovering and pursuing my happiness. I want to be a member in a community of educators who will guide children towards the future they deserve.
