Fenway High School has 290 students in grades 9-12; 17% receive special education services.
The Fenway is one of Boston’s small high schools, sharing space with Boston Arts Academy. One of the first pilot schools in Boston, the Fenway has autonomy in five areas: budget, curriculum, governance, hiring/staffing, and the school calendar. This allows for extra flexibility in determining innovative approaches to teaching and learning, including extensive external collaborations with community organizations; the school’s academic themes are lifelong learning and community. This year, twelve BTR Teacher Residents, mentors and graduates are working at the Fenway to further the school’s commitment to academic and personal excellence for all of its students.
